The Hydra was a creature guarding the Oracle of Sunken Valley. It was defeated by the Order of the Stick on their way to see the Oracle, the Hydra was not killed, it merely had its heads cut off; lacking the normal upper limit on hydra head regrowth, it eventually grew too many heads to supply oxygen to and fell into a coma. The Hydra was left by the Order, and was later found by a Goblin who took advantage of the Hydra's regrowth to open up a "barbecued Hydra head" restaurant which apparently was quite successful. Later, in Gobbotopia the Hydra head cook is seen again catering the celebration of the defeat of the Sapphire Guard and the founding of Gobbotopia.
