Nale: I think it's safe to say this particular scheme has pretty much hit rock bottom.

Nale: Time for my cunning villainous escape: Expeditious Retreat!

With his magically enhanced speed, Nale leaps over the wall of ice, leaving Roy behind him, fuming.
Nale: +12 to Jump checks, sucker!

Roy: Arrgh! There's no way I'm getting over that wall in all this armor.
Elan: Oooh! Oooh! Pick me, Roy! I'll go!

Elan: C'mon, I promise, I won't let him get away.

Roy: I have no doubt that in years to come, I will look back with regret on what I am about to say, but yeah, OK, Elan, get Nale.
Elan: Yes! I won't let you down!

Roy gives Elan a leg-up over the wall.
Roy: Up you go.

Nale stands at the edge of the broken bridge.
Nale: Damn. Wrecking the bridge seemed like a really good idea at the time.
Elan leaps over the wall to confront him.
Elan: Nale! There's no where to go. Surrender!

Nale: Surrender? Never, you moronic little twit. I'd rather die than—

A crack appears in the bridge, "crrr".
- Panel 11
The piece of bridge Nale is standing on breaks off with a loud "CRACK!".
- Panel 12
Nale dangles from the bridge remains by his fingertips.
Nale: Help me, brother!

- Expeditious Retreat is a spell that increases movement speed. Characters moving faster get bonuses to Jump Skill Checks.
- Characters wearing heavy armor receive a Skill Check penalty to skills like Jump and Climb.
