D&D Context
- Rogues like Haley Starshine have the ability to Sneak Attack an opponents for extra damage. One of the ways to activate the ability is by acting before their opponents. Since Haley acted during the surprise round and went first during the actual combat round she got two sneak attacks in this way.
- Bards, being essentially wandering singing historians, have the Bardic Knowledge ability which allows them to know random pieces of lore and rumors if they roll high enough.
